Dried Calendula Flower Uses
In addition to adding it to various meals and beverages herbalists use dried calendula to make incredibly healing calendula-infused oil topical salves and creams or tinctures for internal use.

It is possible to use fresh flowers to make calendula oil but it has an increased risk of bacterial growth. Use combinations to dress candles for specific intent. Just steep about a quarter cup of dried petals in a cup of boiling water and strain to enjoy.
In fact the ease with which they come off the head is an indicator of their dryness. Or the flowers can be added to sugar to create a simple sugar scrub. For all these reasons it is a plant you will always find in my garden.
